Where does MO/TO stand for?
MO/TO means accepting orders by mail order or telephone. This is a sales outlet for distance selling, where purchases can be made by post or telephone and paid for using a credit card. The credit card is not physically present at the place where the payment transaction takes place. The purchaser passes his/her credit card details on to the seller (usually by telephone) and the seller then keys in the payment transaction using a virtual POS terminal.
More and more consumers are discovering how easy it is to pay with credit cards from MasterCard and Visa. These cards are very suitable for orders by mail order or telephone: the Mail and Telephone Order MO/TO Online was developed especially for these payments.
